all three front desk receptionists were very friendly, hotel surroundings were always clean and facilities were more than impressive. will definetely come back another time.
The staff were very accommodating and knowledgeable about the local area. Very warm and friendly.
The breakfast was good but could be improved to cover more selection.
Comfortable hotel with excellent bed, and with relatively little noise despite 4 wedding receptions being held simultaneously. Breakfast nice and room very attractive setting.
Old type TV set, should be widescreen nowadays. Car was parked some distance from the room. Credit card surcharge of 1.5% was not highlighted in advance,
Pillows and the comfort of the bed.
Shower can spray everywhere as there is no curtain.
Staff were very courteous, rooms clean and beds comfortable
Noise early am by guests
The room is clean, the bed is comfortable and the bathroom is considered above averange.
Hotel management is unethical. It charges foreign guests in A$ but convert the charges into US$ at about 10% above bank rate without telling the guests.
I found the staff to be extremely helpful and friendly, the rooms were clean and well presented. The presentation of the Resort was lovely and it had a pleasant atmosphere about it.
The only thing that was a problem was the TV in our room was rather retro compared to the other facilities available.
Friendly staff, always happy to help out when needed, nice clean comfortable rooms, good facilities and plenty of options.
It would be great if breakfast (whether in the restaurant or via room-service) could be extended beyond 10am - it means an earlier morning on an otherwise relaxing holiday. Also, charging for a late check-out, when there is no-one coming into the room, seems a little mean, considering the overall price of the stay.
The swimming pool was great and the rooms were clean but overpriced.
We stayed at the Sebel in a group for our wedding over the weekend and had a very average experience with the staff. Our group started to arrive after 3pm and our rooms were not ready to be checked in. My fiance (now husband as we wre there for our wedding) was put in three rooms that were all wrong before he was finally given the right room. The girl at the fron desk had attitude and we were not impressed as it was 40 degrees, we were there in a group for our wedding and had to wait around reception and then the girl wondered why we were annoyed. Room sra ealso overpriced for what they are. Not a good experience.
faure of T V reception
Liked the breakfast, location, comforts of the room.
I stayed there for only one day and booked the hotel through online. When I reached there I was offered the breakfast package with the room. I asked if there was room service breakfast reception said "no". So I ordered a buffet breakfast package at the reception. Then when I reached my room I realised there is a room service breakfast contrary to what was told at the reception. So I went back to reception to change my order. While I was waiting at the reception I was asked by the Food and Beverages Manager Jonathan if I wanted some help. I told him I ordered my breakfast but wanted to change it to room service. He took me to office and gave me a breakfast room service menu to pick my breakfast and he said he will sort out everything. I left it with him. But when the final bill came I was charged twice for the breakfast one for the buffet and the other one for the room service. When I objected about this the reception guy said it was a communication problem from the resort's side and I have to call back on Monday to sort it out with Jonathan. I did not think that was professional at all. But I did not follow it up since I don't have the time to chase up 28$ but I have to say I consider it as a very bad experience from the hotel's side and would not recommend that resort to anyone whom I know. I was even planning to run a conference there since I like the atmosphere. But the administration part of it really disappointed me. Thanks
I was disappointed that I had paid $179 for such a poor room (Barracks room). With a full room rate of over 300 dollars, there is absolutely no value for money. The rooms are outdated and I have stayed in a lot nicer places for less. I have stayed in Sebal resorts before and they were quite nice and I was happy with them. I will not be staying at Sebal Hawkesbery again. Staff were also very defensive when I explained to them that I didn't enjoy my stay, which shows lack of customer relations experience.
fab hotel, good loaction and great food
Bar could use a little more variety
The location was convenient. The young woman at reception was courteous and friendly. The breakfast was acceptable.
There was no information in my room about the hotel's facilities or a room service menu. I phoned reception and requested these but I did not receive either. I had undressed and was not inclined to dress and hunt down a room service menu. As there was no mini bar I was unable to have a drink or anything to eat that night. The TV reception in the room was poor with no ABC1 or Fox sports. I usually stay every Tuesday at the Hawkesbury Racecourse Motel where the rooms are larger with better facilities and will continue to do so.
Historical Rum Corps Barracks converted to a modern hotel. The grounds are beautifully landscaped. Staff very friendly.
It was a barracks, so had very small windows with not much view.
